Amerplastics built a new ring seal fire extinguisher piping system for a Rotterdam refinery. In this project, Amperplastics was responsible for the complete design, flow analysis, pressure wave calculations, CAD detail drawings, procurement of services and equipment such as foam casting, manufacturing, and supply of GRE piping and installation on-site.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n

The new ring seal firefighting system will be installed on each of the total 37 tanks. In the previous situation, the edge seal fire suppression system on the ‘floating roof’ tanks consists of a single riser that delivers a premix of water and foam to the foam caster (called the OX-head), as well as two foam connections for hand-operated hoses and a fire monitor at the top of the stairwells.<\/p>\n

The reason for the change is that the client is required to comply with the PGS-29 \u2018Environmental Management Act\u2019 and NFPA-11 regulations, as required by the Regional Fire Authority in connection with the environmental permit of the DCMR, the local authority.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n <\/div>\n\n \n
