Water lockers

Water lockers are used in industrial heat exchangers. Heat exchangers are commonly used in industry, chemicals, and petrochemicals and for various electronic processes that generate a lot of heat. This heat must then be reduced by means of these water lockers. The big problem with steel water lockers is corrosion.

Water lockers can be designed based on customer specifications and are prefabricated in our workshop by skilled personnel, if necessary under the supervision of an independent inspection body.

Scrubbers or gas scrubbers are mainly used in industrial processes to rid air or gas of certain (toxic) substances. A scrubber uses absorption. The aim is to neutralise pollutants in an air or waste gas flow.

Silencers

Silencers

Silencers are widely used in (luxury) pleasure boats. The operating principle of silencers is based on using the engine cooling water to create a silencing effect in the exhaust system.

After the water is separated from the exhaust gases, the latter are emitted below the water table. The exhaust gas, free of water particles, give little counterpressure because of the small volumes of cooled exhaust gas. Noise levels caused by exhaust gasses from internal combustion engines are reduced to acceptable levels.

GRE ball locks

We have designed and manufactured a number of GRE ball locks (ball catchers) for some of our regular customers. These are used to collect special balls pushed through pipes to clean them on the inside.

Seaweed filters

Seaweed filters

To prevent debris (seaweed) from entering piping systems, seaweed filters are used in shipping. Our GRE materials are ideally suited for this purpose. Amerplastics designs and manufactures custom-made GRE casings into which filters can then be placed.

Special pipe spools and fittings are custom-made in our workshop and designed according to recognised design criteria. Glass-fibre reinforced plastic (GRP) pressure vessels, tanks, scrubber towers, and equipment with requirements in terms of chemical resistance that make them a price alternative to various coated or stainless steels.
